The Children’s Land program contributes to the integral development of boys and girls, encouraging the development of their intellectual capacities and strengthening their values, their personality, self-esteem and identity for their land.  It also aids the deployment of their intelligence and maturity and the proper use of their possibilities, through living experiences that entail reflection-action processes.

The inclusion of boys and girls in the planning and application processes of the TiNi learning activities allows the teachers and parents to discover and encourage the leadership skills of the students in different topics of their interest. Adults are in charge of supporting the children’s initiative, creating a social capital that favors the educational development and hence, the development of a determined territory.

The teacher that sees in TiNi an important methodology that can aid his/her work has four ways of incorporating it into his work in the educational institution:

  • Including the implementation of Children’s Land in the Institutional Educational Project and the Classroom Study Plan.
  • Including a TiNi in their short time planning (projects developed within a month’s period).
  • Acknowledging the boys and girls that keep a TiNi in their communities or homes.
  • As a Science and Environment sector within the classroom that encourages and stimulates the development of innovative pedagogic proposals.

Likewise, the goals and objectives of a TiNi have to be taken into consideration in the curricular program so that the teacher, according to the skill and interest of each student, could promote solutions to the environmental problems of the educational institution and the community.  The activities around a TiNi could be included in the Annual Plan in dates of the "Citizens Actions in favor of the Environment Calendar" (Teacher’s Guide).
